TELEHEALTH
Telehealth appointments
You can choose to have a telehealth session via video or a phone call. Video therapy sessions are provided through Healthdirect software that runs through your internet browser. You don't need to download anything, you simply click on the link button provided below to access the virtual waiting room, or use the link emailed to you with telehealth information. Further information on the use of Healthdirect is provided under the link button for the virtual waiting room.
There are a range of requirements for your device and browser to support the telehealth video call. When you access the virtual waiting room the software will help you run a test to see if your setup is compatible. Healthdirect works on the following browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer, and Safari.

Healthdirect was developed in Australia for the health industry to meet stringent Australian security and privacy requirements for the delivery of telehealth and is endorsed by the Australian Government.

Telehealth is currently recommended under Government guidelines as a preferred care option, rather than face-to-face therapy. Research has provided evidence that it can be just as therapeutically effective as face-to-face therapy.
